Equations, Planck’s base units, and pi (π)
by Bruce E. Camber (first draft)
Abstract
Universals and constants are used to build a theory for the start and growth of the universe by hypothesizing that the Planck base units define an infinitesimal sphere that results in the very first moment in time. That moment begins to define the physical universe. There are 143 base-2 notations[*] to encapsulate the very first second. Notation-169 encapsulates the first year while Notation-179, the first 1000 years; Notation-189, the first million; and Notation-199, the first billion.
Out of 202 notations, our focus is on the approach to the first second. The total mass at Notation-143 (.60116 seconds) is 2.4268×1034kg (the sun is estimated to be 1.9891×1030kg) and at Notation-144 at 1.2 seconds, 4.8537×1034kilograms.
That “all notations are always active” is the first of several paradigm shifts. Every Planck second of every notation is active, right to this very moment, and it all started approximately 13.81± billion years ago.
Time and length within Notation-64 is just a bit smaller than what can actually be measured. The mass is still a formidable 3.211×1012 kilograms. Energy at Notation-143 is 2.0913×1025 Coulombs and 4.1827×1025 Coulombs at Notation-144.[†] Within Notation-64, thinking about dark energy, at 34.59863 coulombs[a] (about the size of an above-average thunderbolt), it is becoming a force.
With these humble beginnings, we began our studies of dark matter and dark energy.
We hypothesize that one Planck sphere is generated per Planck unit of time. If so, these infinitesimal spheres populate the universe at a rate of 18.5 tredecillion spheres per second. The diversity of the infinitesimal spheres is slowly being analyzed and documented.
Simple logic based on simple math and basic concepts gives us our dark energy and dark matter. Why not? It is just a thought experiment.
Introduction. Why not indeed? Building on the eight hypotheses introduced in the prior article, an infinitesimal sphere defined by the Planck base units is hypothesized to be the first manifestation of space (length), time, mass and energy. If there is one infinitesimal sphere per unit of Planck Time, a simple calculation renders 18.5 tredecillion spheres per second. To impose an ordering system, we apply base-2 notation. Those base units of length and time are so small even at Notation-64, they are barely reaching the thresholds for measurement.
These 64 notations, a key part of a virtually unexplored model, require a paradigm shift. All notations are always active. All time is Now.
Notation-64 contains the first yoctosecond, one trillionth of a trillionth of a second. Too small to measure, we hypothesize that these spheres define a perfection defined by the continuity-symmetry-harmony within pi(π) and that the universe is tiled and tessellated by a grid of infinitesimal spheres. That is 64 notations of logic, mathematics, equations and geometries defined by Planck-scale physics and refined by pi(π). The continuities-symmetries-harmonies of pi(π) render the homogeneous-and-isotropic, and the smooth start that our space telescopes have well-documented.
Another paradigm shift! Within Notation-64, particles/waves and quantum fluctuations begin to emerge. There are geometries of imperfection[1]. Our scholars over the years had been thrown off by Aristotle’s mistake. He didn’t see a gap. Either he did not have good models of tetrahedrons, or he did not experiment with them. He did not put together five tetrahedrons sharing a common edge. If he did, he would have discovered that gap. It’s obvious. And, that same gap of 7.35610+ degrees is also created when five octahedrons share a common edge.
Gaps are imperfect. They leave space for error (movement) and become statistical. Indeterminacy begins, and then it begins to become dominant. There are, however, perfections throughout these 64 notations.
Notwithstanding, this grid of spheres connects everything, everywhere throughout time to everything, everywhere for all time. Everything is held perfectly in place, but there are gaps.
In 1972 I said, “A vision abides… deep within the fabric of life there is an energy, an abiding thrust to make things better, more perfect.”[2]
Here, another paradigm shift is the hypothesis: The Universe starts perfect, then becomes imperfect or creative or innovative.
In 2011 we defined that perfection in terms of the Planck base units.[3] In and around 2022 that perfection was further defined by the simple logic of pi (π). And, that circled back to the original formulation: “Three forms within a function define an increasingly perfected state within an experience: The first form that defines our humanity is order and its most basic function, a simple perfection, creates continuity. The second form is a relation and its function creates symmetry. The third form is dynamics and its perfection, a complex function, is harmony.”
Yet, that vision has never been compelling within our scientific and mathematical communities because it does not easily or comfortably sit within the domain of quantum physics.
Business, government, religion and science are the theaters where these de facto first principles get acted out. Where are the perfections? Even we who are promoting such are challenged.
With so much hatred and tension within our life and this world, we have been moved to ask, “Is our paradigm (that starts within perfection) incomplete or wrong? So we’ve stopped to ask, “What are the universals inherent within any theory?” Our current theory is based on Planck units and the continuity-symmetry-harmony of pi (π). What should we conclude about big bang cosmology? It’s all about an inexplicable, infinitely-dense singularity that contains everything from everywhere in the universe for all time. Beyond comprehension, it has an inherent solipsism that de facto encourages a narcissism that tends to devolve into today’s nihilisim and dystopianism that appears to reflect our global values and mores.
Or, does our behavior reflect the model-and-belief system?
We believe there are good reasons to re-introduce the concept of perfection as a mathematical concept. First, it appears derivative of pi(π) and reaches out to the finite and the infinite. And second, it can be seen in a mathematically-integrated view of the universe. Surprisingly, when base-2 exponential notation is applied, it becomes apparent:
1. Worldviews alone are too small. The entire universe informs us.
2. We have a limited view of who we are and what we are capable of doing.
3. We’ll learn from our universe as we spend time seeing, feeling, and thinking about it.
All scientific and religious assertions that seek to understand and define the universal, begin with the same first principle, continuity, and evolve within their own understanding and language to the second, symmetry, and third, harmony. Yet, the starting point, continuity, necessarily tells us that everything is necessarily related.
This is also the basis of the value chain. The more perfect a moment or an experience is, OR the more perfected a thing or system is, the more valuable it becomes. And, in the deepest sense of the word, it also becomes an expression or manifestation of love.
Thus, we have the beginnings of business (and economics), ethics and morality.
Any assertion that counters life’s evolving perfections is not religion (it’s a cult). It is also not business (it’s exploitation or a bad company); certainly it is not good government; and most often, it is not even good science.
There are scientific endeavors that observe, quantify and qualify that which is fundamentally based on discontinuities, indeterminacy, or chaos, but those studies require the inherent continuities of mathematics and constants-and-universals to grasp the nature of that discontinuity.
The antithesis of continuity, symmetry and harmony is discontinuity, asymmetry, and dissonance which become the basis to judge poor behavior, the most extreme being any type of violence, especially murder.
Continuity-symmetry-harmony are all terms used within mathematics, ontology, physics, chemistry, biology, cosmology, geology, systems theory, epistemology, psychology, sociology, city planning, and government systems and there are analogies and metaphors that connect them all.
Research. By naively backing into the Planck scales by dividing the edges of a tetrahedron by 2 and connecting those new vertices, we were inadvertently mimicking base-2 notation. It caused us to ask, “How small can we go? What is too small?”
In 2011 it was good to begin learning about Planck’s base units. In 45 steps going within, we were within particle physics. In 112 steps, deep inside our classroom model, we were approximating the Planck units of length and time. Believed to be the smallest possible meaningful measurements, it was assumed that these are the very first to define the physical universe.
In the classroom, looking out to the universe, we had assumed there would be thousands of steps involved and were stunned to discover only 90. For consistency, we used Planck’s units, multiplied by 2 and confirmed that there are just 202 notations to encapsulate everything, everywhere for all space and all time.
It was all so visceral and we were learning about magic of Euler’s base-2 notation.
Geometries of gaps. In 2014 we re-engaged what has become known as “Aristotle’s Gap.” Ten years earlier we learned about it from Frank & Kasper and Jonathan Doye. This homepage focused on it: https://81018.com/too-simple/. Then we began learning about other geometric gaps. And, it seems that we even unearthed a simple gap. We could find no references to an octahedral gap so began to write it up: https://81018.com/geometries/. Quantum physics has been slow to engage these gaps.
These may even be the first images of the five octahedral gap! We hypothesized that these gaps are integral to quantum fluctuations.
Domain from Planck scale to the electroweak or CERN scale. There are many academic efforts around the world to define the domain between what is measured by CERN labs and what is known about the Planck scale. Cumrun Vafa (Harvard) is skeptical; he asks if we can know anything about the Planck scale. Obviously, we think we can.
There are hundreds of labs that smash particles together in creative ways in order to discern something new. Perhaps at these speeds, densities, and sizes, thought experiments would be more efficient and render more results.
The first 64 of the 202 notations define the infinitesimal in terms of the equations of Planck base units, base-2 notation and other equations like pi (π), and simple geometries. But, there doesn’t appear to be anybody else talking about these 202 notations in this pivotal way.
We continued to envision other possibilities.
Results and review. Many new hypotheses create foundations to start-and-grow the universe:
• The Particle/Wave Production Center. No less than 64 notations (out of the 202 base-2 for the entire universe) generate the first neutrinos and quarks. Hadrons are quarks, gluons, anti-quarks. Neutrinos, classically understood to be a form of a lepton that are produced when protons and electrons in the nucleus combine to form neutrons. These are functions that are derivative of yet to be named functions within the grid of infinitesimal spheres that fill the universe.[5]
• Hypostatic notations. These 64 notations are all pre-particles and pre-waves. Each is a unique domain for equations, logic, numbers and geometries of every possible flavor and these are currently partially known and understood through functional analysis. Yet, there are perfections throughout these 64 notations that have yet to be understood and affirmed. These same affects also occur throughout the universe yet these are even less understood and affirmed. Just for an instant, the hypostatic is a perfected state in space-and-time.[6]
• Everything, everywhere, for all time. Everything, everywhere, for all time affects the qualities of everything everywhere. Our first writing about it appeared in 2015. It was at the same time we first re-affirmed Max Planck’s numbers for Planck Length and Planck Time: https://81018.com/c/ We found his calculations in his Theory of Radiation (Section 164, Natural Units, pages 205-208) (1912) and began slowly learning about all the natural units.[7]
• Spheres. We needed to reassure ourselves that spheres were the starting points. None of our articles had gone viral. None were affirmed by the great scholars. It seemed time to try harder to grasp and explain these essences. Articles about spheres (2016) followed — many spheres (2017), a grid of spheres (2017), the work of binding finite-infinite (2019), and sphere stacking (2021). Spheres are involved with the most basic equations and applications of pi (2021)[8]
• 185 Tredecillion spheres per second. Overlooking the Amalfi Coast, being newly inspired, if one plancksphere is generated for every unit of Planck Time, that simple calculation renders 185 tredecillion spheres per second. It is a cosmological constant. Within the first year, between Notation 168 and 169, this expansion already outlines an evolving universe the size of our solar system. It adds raw data; along with all the raw numbers of the chart, we expect someone will have an insight, “We can test it.”[9]
• Dark energy and dark matter. This long-standing mystery can most-easily be resolved within the first 64 notations, a non-local array, that dynamically opens bridges between the finite and infinite and between the quantitative and the qualitative. The first manifestations are within the formation of stars like our sun. Then it opens the bridges to planets and moons in one direction and to galaxies and superclusters in the other. Deep within these structures are non-local notations, 1-64, that today we hypothesize are known as dark energy and dark matter[10].
Let us begin to discuss these initial results before going on to discussions about a possible domain of perfection and how within the dynamics of pi(π) below the 64th notation, a perfected-state within space-time can spike through to the 202nd notation.
Conclusion. With the dramatic clashes of cultures throughout the world, seemingly on the edge of an Armageddon, it is self-evident — the world needs a better model, one that would cause a paradigm shift of a most radical-but-logical sort.

Right Model, Wrong Model: a lasting legacy. Continuity and symmetry are producing creativity and harmony. Obviously The Camp David Accords (goes to https://history.state.gov/) still observed, is a “right” model, building on continuities and symmetries and actively working on harmony:
The Camp David Accords (1979). A first between Arabs and Jews it moved Egypt and Israel from a state of near-constant conflict to an era of peacemaking. The Accords ushered in greater prosperity for people on all sides and eliminated a major threat to regional peace and stability. Four major wars had erupted between Egypt and Israel prior to Camp David. In the years since, the two countries have remained at peace. Both Egypt and Israel achieved their primary goals: Egypt regained the Sinai Peninsula that Israel had captured during the Six-Day War in 1967.
Israel received its first formal recognition from an Arab state.
