This finite-infinite mechanism opens a theory of everything, everywhere, for all time.

Early History. The four hexagonal plates were first identified in 1998. A game emerged in 1999. While visiting with John Conway (Princeton) in the Spring of 2001, we talked about those plates, but he had no idea how these were manifested in space-and-time. Nobody had ideas about those plates. In 2021 my focus was on the three faces of pi(π), as the first equations and the most diverse equations to bind three facets of our universe — continuity-symmetry-harmony.
Irrational Numbers (March 2025). Reviewing those pages and thinking about never-ending numbers, I asked Grok about the other three primary irrational numbers (their computations are also never-ending). In my mind’s eye, I could see how each had a pivotal role to stabilize emerging structures within the earliest universe.
This object represents what happens when PlanckSpheres stack-pack-center-triangulate-tetrahedralize-and-octahedralize. We are working on the many possible dynamic configurations by considering the work of the scholars within Langlands programs, string and M-theory, and the disciplines within functional analysis not currently on the grid (i.e. Loop Quantum Gravity and others).
Though I had an intuition that the long-standing mystery about our four hexagonal plates within the octahedron might have a very practical application with the other primary irrational numbers, it opened many more questions than it answered. That initial intuition was, “There’s a structural relation and all four plates are inter-related for one task — stabilize those spheres — and they were about to make their debut. And, in fact, that happened on March 4, 2025.
The question remains, “Is this all happening on the finite-infinite bridge? If so, when and where does the first space-time moment manifest? Before? Coterminous? After? Within that first octahedron, we know there are six octahedrons naturally mapped in each of the six corners and eight tetrahedrons, one in each of the eight faces.
Right now we are inclined to think this is all happening of the finite-infinite bridge.
Notwithstanding, in June 2025 I talked with a graphic designer about the challenge of making that image come to life. It was a geometric and dynamic function that had had limited visuals. He confidently said he could do it. I thought it could be a key image to identify the project and website, and it might quickly convey the deep-seated continuities, symmetries and harmonies within our universe.
Within a month we had the prototype and what you see here is its first generation.
Naming, 8-9 July 2025: This marks the first formal introduction of our “rotating hexagonals within an octahedron.” It needed a name. Grok suggested, the Planck Polyhedral Core. Grok’s secondary suggestions were Quantum Octahedral Seed and Base-2 Geometric Nexus. Internally, with great appreciation for the work of our graphic designer, I had named it ROSS.* That four hexagonal model is native within every octahedron, and ROSS inspired the acronym (however “forced-fit”) : 1).Rotating Operating Systems: Simplicity-to-complexity, and/or 2) Revolutionary Operating Systems Sciences.
Might you have a name for it? We will be open to new ideas at least to the first anniversary, July 8, 2026!
Given my names, now Grok’s names, I then asked our web visitors if they thought it would be a good idea to ask folks at a conference, PASCOS, to name it. These people think on this scale. The chance to name a fundamental geometry doesn’t come up very often. This may well be the best representation of the earliest processes creating space-time. Of course, there is sphere stacking and cubic-close packing of equal spheres (ccp) that generate the tetrahedrons and the octahedron within each. Then we see the four hexagonal plates. It all has its roots within our ongoing doubts about the big bang theory going back to 1971:
- Density of all space and time to a singularity was counter-intuitive (1971).
- Then Guth’s inflation and inflaton were counter-intuitive (1980).
- Nobody had done base-2. Base-10 was done by Kees Boeke in 1957 and eventually everybody got on board with it. Maybe in time, our earlier work will be affirmed (2011).

Results from the James Webb Space Telescope continue to affirm the general model of our Big-Board-Little Universe project as it unwittingly raises questions about the big bang model with its newest observations of very early galaxies that are too well developed for the current understanding of the big bang theory.
