- Revising Himself: Walt Whitman and Leaves of Grass

Hello my friends, hello —
It is has been many years since I walked your wonderful gardens. I can only imagine how much more glorious they are today.
I write to “Thank you” for bringing out Drew Gilpin Faust‘s work with Whitman’s Antietam. Pete Seegar’s words, “When will we ever learn…” ring through my head.
Solipsism becomes nihilism becomes dystopia. Its extremes today are colliding.
That we need a new vision of ourselves and our universe is self-evident.
As far as I know, nobody has suggested an integrated universe view from the Planck base units to the current time in 202 base-2 notations or doublings. I think it is the first ordered set that clearly goes beyond Kees Boeke’s base-10 of 1957… any thoughts about it? Thanks. -Bruce
