“Mark Van Raamsdonk – A theoretical physicist at the University of British Columbia, whose work has suggested that space-time could be an emergent phenomenon from quantum entanglement. His thought experiments have been pivotal in discussions about how entanglement might underpin space-time geometry.” https://81018.com/grok6/
Dear Prof. Dr. Mark Van Raamsdonk:
In 1980 I studied entanglement with J.P. Vigier and Olivier Costa de Beauregard at the Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP). Being from Boston University (with Abner Shimony) with strong ties to faculty at Harvard and MIT, we had been on the EPR since 1971. Going in circles, I had had enough and re-engaged a business that I started in 1970 (software).
I commend you for your energy, creativity, and forthrightness.
Simple question. Have you ever considered applying base-2 to fundamental units like Planck’s base units? If Planck Time is considered the first unit of time, there are 202 notations to the current time. I’ve been re-engaged since 2011 but in an entirely idiosyncratic fashion. Long story. My space-time geometry begins with an infinitesimal sphere that populates the universe per unit of Planck Length/PlanckTime.
It’s a novel approach, but it requires the sharpness of a young mind to chew it up as nonsense or give it some air for further analysis. I think Grok did a respectable job of it: https://81018.com/grok5/
I have just begun a page of references to you: https://81018.com/van-Raamsdonk/ (this page) Your ArXiv articles come next!
You are not too far from the beginning of your trek. I am not too far from the end. Integrity, honesty, energy, creativity, and forthrightness — the only way. I wish you the very best.
Most sincerely,
Bruce
