Overcoming our Failures in 2022

Founded on November 16, 1945 in London, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has failed Ukraine, Russia and the world because with all the billions of dollars they have spent since 1945, they have been unable to develop a compelling model for education, science, and culture that staves off wars and intercepts conflicts.

UNESCO should be the lead in the United Nations efforts for peace.

Headquartered in Paris, France, it has many agencies within their own agency and many should be highly-motivated to come up with some new ideas given the vile desecration of Ukraine. We all have got to risk more and be willing to take on the illogical, even the absurd, to change direction.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Our initial email to Audrey Azoulay, the director general of UNESCO, was sent on February 25, 2022. The next email went to David Atchoarena, the Director of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning on March 23, 2022.

Dear Mr. David Atchoarena (PhD),

In February at the start of all the brutality and banality in Ukraine, I sent a note to the Director-General of UNESCO as well as to Vladimir Putin. None of us should stand by and watch precious people being killed and our little global community being torn up.

It is profoundly illogical and evil. How can this happen within our era of hyper communications where everybody knows your name and there are no secrets?

Obviously this world has many worldviews that do not cohere. What do we do? I say let us take it all a step further and see if a highly-integrated mathematical view of the universe can help us to see things more clearly.

We got started on such a thing back in 2011 and we’ve made a little progress. The scholars within UNESCO could push it so much further and so much faster. We just have a most-simple chart of the universe in 202 base-2 notations that starts at the Planck scale and goes to the current age and size of the universe. First thing it seems to suggest is a kinder and more-gentle definition of the infinite based on the primary facets of pi (π), that is continuity, symmetry, and harmony. I have also engaged many of our world’s leading scholars to help with its articulation. Many are on the leading-edge of research.

May I further open some communications with your group? Of course, if so, I would be most pleased.

PS. The global development organizations could institute a requirement that all their member states and those organizations given low-interest loans or outright grants be also teaching their people this simple view of the universe. I have approached several such organisations to consider it. To date, I am calling the overview “natural ethics” because it is based on universal constants and mathematics. At some point it will also be known as a “hyper ethics”.

Dear Ms. Audrey Azoulay,

The brutality and banality of war is evil.

It is also a worldview that doesn’t work. 

Our worldviews are too small and fail us.

Only within a highly-integrated view of the universe might we begin to get it right. Such a thing exists. Surprisingly it all began in a New Orleans high school when the students and teachers went inside a tetrahedron and emerged with a simple chart of the universe with just 202 base-2 notations that started at the Planck scale and went out to the current age and size of the universe.

It has encouraged a kinder and more-gentle definition of the infinite based on the primary facets of pi (π), that is continuity, symmetry, and harmony.

I have engaged many scholars to wrestle with this model. It is difficult because it provides the foundations of physics with an infinitesimal domain that is well-below the thresholds of measurement yet provides a basis to bring the disciplines of Langlands programs, string theory, SUSY, dark matter and dark energy and many others within a relational grid that encapsulates the universe.

May I keep you informed of our progress? I am currently trying to involve Skoltech (Moscow), Tsinghua (Beijing), and top scholars and schools around the world.
