RE: Your legacy, first with PASCOS where we met, and then with your significant work within supersymmetries and color SU(3) gauge group of QCD to form supersymmetric QCD and Grand Unified Theories (GUTs), including your book Supersymmetry, Supergravity, and Unification (Cambridge University Press, 2017); arXiv (233); orcid, and Wikipedia.
- Supergravity (SUGRA) Models: Developed mechanisms for SUSY breaking in supergravity, particularly in mSUGRA/CMSSM frameworks.
- Unified Models: Integrated gauge groups into supersymmetric frameworks (GUTs), often focusing on radiative breaking of the electroweak symmetry.
- Phenomenology: Analyzed the implications of a 126 GeV Higgs boson for SUSY, concluding that a high SUSY scale (in the TeV region) is favored to resolve flavor problems.
- Scientific Leadership: Founding Chair of the SUSY conferences (2025: 32nd year of “Supersymmetry and Unification of Fundamental Interactions“) and the PASCOS conferences (2025: 30th year of PASCOS.
- Supersymmetry (SUSY): A theory predicting a partner particle for each Standard Model particle to solve the hierarchy problem.

Third email: 12 February 2026
Dear Prof. Dr. Pran Nath:
I have a daily ritual that involves checking our website to see which pages got traffic the day before. Often, I then update each of those pages — scholars first — if I can find more recent information. Today I began checking all the other pages that have had activity because the website is getting a surge in traffic because of Google’s AI Gemini and this review: https://81018.com/state-of-the-universe-google-gemini/.
I am working through your substantial contributions and have updated my page about your work — https://81018.com/nath/ — and will continue to do so.
Best wishes,
Bruce
Second 2026 Email: 31 January 2026
Dear Prof. Dr. Pran Nath:
Thanks again for that overview of PASCOS back in Durham. I am savoring it today. It was the perfect opening of PASCOS-30.
Just think, 30 years of conferences!
But I also, thank you for all your scholarship. I was greatly intrigued as it was happening: “Who is Saha? What are Saha equations?” Very quickly here, I reveal my limitations and lack of knowledge, but your lecture only encouraged me to learn more about the processes of recombination, the decoupling photons from matter, and the release of the cosmic microwave background (CMB)… within my idiosyncratic architecture for particles, there are 67 base-2 notations (out of 202 for the universe) to define processes for hypothetical (archetypal) particles.
Long overdue, I am now studying “the Nath Legacy.” After reading a few summaries (like Wikipedia) of your work to date, my next question: “What is the essence of supersymmetry?” I have my own ideas.
This letter is in process so if you were to land here on January 31, there are two “the”Nath pages” to date: https://81018.com/nath-pascos/ and https://81018.com/nath (this page).
Best wishes,
Bruce
First non-procedural email: January 2026
Dear Prof. Dr Pran Nath,
You will begin to see references within my webpages about your work on supersymmetry and SU(3).
I must apologize for my quietness since our last email exchange about photographs. My time from August till now was taken over by AI functions. It continues to be a steep learning curve for me.
After the conference, I decided to understand the conference, the participants, and AI as completely as I am able by asking various AI questions about various parts of each lecture. To that end, I decided to write an assessment of each of the presentations. Of course, you gave the first lecture and I’ve begun working on that assessment. Each of these is “for me only.” I am trying to learn. But then, I thought that the author might be interested. I am not so sure now. I have only done one so far; it was for Seshadri Nadathur, the first to have lectured after you. He has not commented on it.
Each of these pages will be protected pages, yet as I go forward, the insiders will know that the first name within the headlines (sometimes the parenthesis — Sesh within the example), will provide quick access.
Notwithstanding, it was a joy to get to know you a little. PASCOS certainly sets you within a special category among physicists! Another email will follow soon. I do not expect a response. You’ve got enough to do. But, let me thank you again for all that you do.
Warmest regards,
Bruce
