Dear Prof. Dr. Thomas Hertog:
I have been watching your recent presentation (May 2023) at the Royal Institution. Very, very good. Thank you.
I suspect you will continue to ask us the question through the Hawking lens,
“The universe appears designed. Why is it the way it is?”
May I ask, “Are the natural units and dimensionless constants part of the design?” Then I immediately wonder if pi (π ) plays an important role, and ask two more questions, “In what way are the Planck base units involved? Is it pi that gives our universe its continuity, symmetry and harmony?”
Based on your video and ArXiv writings, I will further analyze and possibly prepare a page, a synthesis between our points of view. Thanks again.
Warmly,
Bruce
PS. Given your place in history and the need for more continuity, symmetry, and harmony in our little world and universe, I have started a page to collect my thoughts and my emails to you: https://81018.com/hertog/ you. – BEC
