Dear Prof. Dr. Bernard Carr:

You’ll be presenting  in May at the  Peat’s Pari center in Italy.  It sparked my interest. Now, the first and last time I reached out to you was in 2023 — https://81018.com/carr/ To find more recent references to your work, I looked at GoogleAI (below) and Wiki’s updates further below.

Before we can answer questions about consciousness, I think we’ve got to answer the question about the very first instants of time. One way to approach that challenge is to apply base-2 notation to the Planck base units. In so doing, there are 202 notations from Planck Time to the current time. The first second is within Notation-143. Human consciousness is well within the 202nd notation. Without beginning to grasp the scope of the 202 notations, we limited ourselves to worldviews and these are much too limited though which to grasp consciousness.

There are key gaps everywhere.  I discuss them in a recent article. I wonder if you might comment: https://81018.com/geometry-to-physics/

Thank you.

Most sincerely,

Bruce

Google AI:  Bernard Carr, an astrophysicist and student of Stephen Hawking, connects M-theory to the multiverse and consciousness by proposing a 5D model where the extra dimension relates to “mental time”. He suggests that, while M-theory explains physical reality, a new, expanded paradigm is needed to integrate the mind, with consciousness existing within a higher-dimensional framework.

Key aspects of Carr’s work regarding M-theory and consciousness:

  • 5D Model & Consciousness: Carr suggests consciousness is not produced by the brain but filtered through it, with “mental time” existing in a higher (5th) dimension.
  • The “Cosmic Uroboros”: He links the very large (multiverse/cosmology) and the very small (M-theory/string theory) through a “cosmic uroboros,” with M-theory serving as a framework for understanding the multiverse.
  • Expanding Physics: He argues that to truly understand the universe, M-theory and, more broadly, physics, must be expanded to include consciousness.
  • Multiverse Context: Carr uses M-theory and braneworld cosmology to support the existence of a multiverse, where our universe is just one of many.

Carr’s work bridges traditional cosmological research, such as primordial black holes, with deeper, speculative investigations into how the mind fits into the structure of spacetime.

Dear Prof. Dr. Bernard Carr:

Looking at work by Robert Brandenberger, I saw your New Scientist article asking about the age of blackholes. I then looked you up and saw the references to the Faraday group and your work from Rees to Ellis, the SPR, and then your Wikipedia overview. Most Impressive. And, I see you are not slowing down.

I am sure you at least know a few of my friends from Ted Bastin, H. Pierre Noyes, perhaps Fritz Buri (Basel),  Costa de Beauregard (Paris), David Bohm… so many others. I dropped out in 1980 and started to try to pick it back up again in 2011. I haven’t gotten very far.

I took Tegmark, Arkani-Hamed, and Turok seriously — https://81018.com/redefinition/.

I hope you might find the this page to be of some interest: https://81018.com/exquisite/

Your comments would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Warmly,

Bruce
